Hello everyone!
Today I want to talk to you about something I have been struggling with.
Due to the pandemic, it has been hard to spice up life. If you tune into our podcast we talk about the importance of routines and I still stand by that of course, but sometimes we need a change.
I had begun to feel exhausted just being on the same schedule constantly, with work, school, being at home, even working out. It all just got so boring and become unbelievably robotic.
When it became robotic I started just falling out of the routines. Not doing them- which led to me not doing anything. I lost my productivity.
I realized that we are in circumstances that we cannot really expect to change anytime soon so we need to make changes for ourselves. Small things like switching up my workout routine, I added using a stepper or writing in my gratitude journal in the morning instead of before bed. These slight changes made me feel like I was leading up to something different and that's I wasn't living the same day on repeat for the past year.
I even was able to go out one night with a friend and we both feel like we really needed that. Just a night out, us two with nothing on our minds except catching up and being present in the moment. Looking forward to that time too really did put a "hop" in my "step."
It is truly the smallest change that can make the biggest difference.
Find the fun in everything you do!
Cello out.
